THE MEDIA CENTER NEEDS YOUR HELP

BOOK FAIR
Volunteers are needed to help with set up and break down, working morning and afternoon times with book sales, as well as on evening of that week during the Ice Cream Social. Please contact Audra Simpson at audramk@hotmail.com or 598-0240 to help.

BEAUTIFICATION COMMITTEE
The Bulletin Board/Beautification Committee seeks to help Pearsontown put its best foot forward. The committee is responsible for maintaining the large planters outside the main entrance with fresh foliage. Other projects such as regular parent/student after-school clean up days would be a welcome addition to the committee’s responsibilities if we have the interest and parent volunteerism. FALL FUNDRAISER / PAWS FOR THE CAUSE

FAMILY MOVIE NIGHT COMMITTEE
Pearsontown’s Family Movie Nights are sponsored by the PTA to provide an evening of family fun and school community. Movies are rated G or PG and are shown every other month at 7pm in our cafeteria. Concessions are available. There is also a special drawing held during intermission. When you come to Movie Night, do not be surprised to see our Principal or Vice Principal, as well as some of your favorite teachers! We can always use help with set-up and clean-up, donations and promotions.

GRANDPARENTS’ APPRECIATION BREAKFAST COMMITTEE
Grandparents’ Appreciation Breakfast, will be held Friday,September 2nd at 9:30am in the gym followed by light refreshments in the cafeteria.Volunteers are needed to help with setting up, replenishing foods, and cleaning up. PARENT INVOLVEMENT COMMITTEE
The Parent Involvement Committee is focused on supporting our students by promoting a partnership between families and Pearsontown. This partnership is a collaboration among students, teachers, administration, staff, parents and caregivers. Parent involvement encompasses communication, advocacy, student learning, and volunteer opportunities as described by DPS. SPIRIT DAY COMMITTEE
Spirit Day is about the pride our children take in their school. We encourage students to show Panda Spirit by wearing their Panda T-shirts the last Friday of the month. Pearsontown is proud of our students and allows each to receive a small treat when they participate by wearing their Panda T-shirts. The students look forward to this day of the month and the motivation behind our students is what makes Pearsontown shine!
TEACHER APPRECIATION WEEK
This committee is dedicated to making Teacher Appreciation Week a success. This is the week we celebrate and show our appreciation to all teachers and staff members that have made a difference in our child(s) lives. Volunteers are always in need to help aid in ensuring that teachers and staff members feel appreciated. Events take place all week and help would be greatly welcome. Wellness Committee
This committee is dedicated to the well being of every student and ensuring the wellness initiative is a success. By promoting healthy habits and holding events surrounding wellness such as Walk to School, this committee puts forth the effort to promote a healthy lifestyle for everyone.
