Several members of the Pearsontown Pacer Run/Walk Club are planning to participate in the Great Human Race on March 27th. It is a 5K run/walk that raises money for nonprofit agencies in Durham. If you would like to cheer on the kids, the start/finsh line of the race is at the main entrance to the Durham Bulls Stadium. The race starts at 830 AM on the 27th. Come out and cheer them on!

Pearsontown Magnets are now here! Check them out at the Multi-Cultural Fair on Thursday, March 18th. Magnets will be on sale from 6:00-6:30pm during the Multi-Cultural Fair choral concert at the entrance to the gym. Magnets are $6.00. Exact change or checks made payable to Pearsontown PTA ONLY on Thursday evening.

Last call to order the 2009-10 Yearbook. If you forgot to turn in your order last week and are interested in purchasing a yearbook, please return your order envelope with payment to your child’s teacher on March 10th. The cost of the yearbook is $20. To add Student’s name is an additional $3 and for a Current Event Insert is an additional $2. Please make checks payable to Pearsontown PTA. If you do not have an order envelope, please place it in an envelope labeled “Yearbook Purchase” with your child’s name, grade, and teacher’s name.

The Panda Pacers are a group of Pearsontown Families that run, walk, and
play together weekly from Oct-Mar in a effort to have fun being physically
active. This group is for all families of all sizes, shapes and skill
levels.  The only requirement is that an adult accompany each child  and that all adults and children participate. We meet Wednesdays at 3:45 PM at Solite Park.

Don’t forget to Re-link your Harris Teeter VIC card to Pearsontown #1288. The programs starts August 1st. To link your card, give the cashier our code 1288, and your linked for the entire school year. Please ask your family members, friends, and co-workers that shop at Harris Teeter to link their card to Pearsontown. Once your VIC card is linked, Pearsontown receives a percentage of your Harris Teeter brand purchases in the form of cash. This is a free and easy way to help raise money for our school. Welcome Pearsontown Pandas

We would like to welcome new families to the Pearsontown community and welcome back returning families for the 2009-2010 school year.

As many of you already know, Pearsontown is a rich community because of the incredibly strong support of our families and our wonderful and caring staff.
